Sacred Heart athletics is envisioned as an extension of the school’s mission: forming discipline, teamwork, leadership, courage, and school spirit.

Sacred Heart Fighting Seraphs
The proposed athletics identity connects the strength and boldness of the Seraphs with the Catholic identity of Sacred Heart High School. The goal is to build competitive, joyful, and mission-centered programs as enrollment grows.

These are the programs the current planning model hopes to offer directly as the school launches and grows.
Programs we hope to add as we grow
- Track & Field
- Expanded spirit and activity offerings
Not currently planned as independent Sacred Heart programs
- Football is not currently planned as a stand-alone Sacred Heart sport because of roster size, equipment, staffing, facility, and cost considerations.
- A large independent marching band is also unlikely at initial launch because of scale.
Potential cooperative opportunities with Yankton High School
Sacred Heart intends to explore cooperative opportunities with Yankton High School for activities that may not initially be practical to offer independently, potentially including football, marching band, soccer, and other programs—subject to future agreements and applicable rules.
