Formation Beyond the Classroom
Student life at Sacred Heart is envisioned as deeply Catholic, highly relational, and rich with opportunities for leadership, friendship, service, and school spirit.
Weekly school Mass, daily Mass availability, Adoration and/or Rosary, retreats, Confession, and visible Catholic culture are central. Students will also complete required community-service hours as part of graduation expectations.
Proposed activities include debate, robotics, science competitions, choir, theater, spirit band, cheer, service opportunities, leadership roles, and additional clubs shaped by student interest.
Because early students will be founding classes, they will help create traditions, events, and the culture of the school itself.
House System
Sacred Heart plans to use a House System similar to what some Catholic schools and classical academies use. Houses can strengthen friendships across grades, create belonging, encourage mentorship, and create healthy competition through service, academics, faith, and school spirit.
House identities, names, and structure would be finalized later, but the goal is clear: make a small school feel intentional, joyful, and deeply connected.
Students should have meaningful opportunities in choir, theater, visual art, and spirit ensembles. Beauty is part of the education of the whole person.
Service to others will be more than a slogan. Students will be expected to complete community-service hours and to grow in a habit of generosity toward parish, family, school, and community.
Whether through houses, athletics, clubs, service, or academics, Sacred Heart aims to cultivate humble, capable leaders who can serve the Church and the common good.
